Ella’s downtown Georgetown + spring wildflower session was an extra special one for me. I have known her since she was six years old, and I just love this girl! She grew up down the street from me and she babysat my kids through the last ten years. I have always known her to be kind, dependable, and full of joy!
Ella wore many outfits during her senior photography session, and her hair and makeup looked incredible thanks to makeup by Bia. Our session began in Downtown Georgetown Square. Ella had a few posing requests and we used her inspiration photos to guide the urban-themed part of her senior photo session (check out another urban photo shoot here!). As an Austin senior photographer, I love it when seniors come with ideas about posing, and when they have inspiration photos to help guide our session! I always add a lot of my own pose recommendations to stay true to my creative vision, but I love collaborating with the person in front of my camera too. We had a lot of fun trying out new ideas together and were able to capture some really great moments!
After shooting on the Square, we went over to Southwestern University in Georgetown, and took pictures of Ella with her letterman jacket on campus. The architecture is stunning and provides a simple, timeless background for senior photos. Her letterman jacket is a great example of including personal touches to your session, and I love any opportunity to capture who you really are during our shoot!
We finished up our session at Old Settlers Park in the bluebonnet field, and got some really stunning photos. I love the golden light coming through the field. It was a photographer’s dream location with incredible fields of large, thick blooms!
