Kayla | Blue Hole: Georgetown, TX
A sunny day mixed with blooming wildflowers created the perfect setting for Kayla’s Springtime photo session! Kayla and her family traveled from Dallas to Austin for senior pictures, and we had an amazing session.
A few days before Kayla’s session, I walked a neighborhood trail and unexpectedly found numerous wildflower fields. I love to hike and explore new locations – it’s one of the many job perks as a senior photographer. I was excited to find a variety of flowers including purple willowherbs, pink evening primrose, purple poppy mallows, goldfields, and bluebonnets.
Kayla and I collaborated together to choose the perfect outfits to match each set of wildflowers. We began her session in the late afternoon as we hoped to catch the golden light around sunset. I brought my outfit changing tent for privacy, and Kayla’s parents carried her outfits and accessories along the wildflower trail.
After photographing Kayla in three outfits and flower patches, we moved into a bluff full of blooming ferns. It was the perfect setting for her edgy look, but we were missing her cargo boots. Kayla’s dad came to our rescue. With a smile, he ran over a mile to bring her cargo boots back to us. This was very helpful as sunset was fast approaching, and we still had a few more stops to make. Before sunset, we drove to Blue Hole in Georgetown for creekside portraits and completed the session in a downtown poppy patch.
To Kayla: you are beautiful inside and out. Thank you for choosing me as your senior photographer! I wish you much joy and happiness in life. Enjoy the ride.
